A stay at home mom doesn't work?

This is by far the hardest job I have ever had. There is no schedule, no end to my day and no manual to follow! Cole is a wonderful baby but I still feel frustrated when the day does not go as planned. It difficult to have a job that is never ending, no matter how many times I clean the kitchen it is always gets dirty at the next meal and no matter how many times I do laundry there is still dirty clothes. This job takes alot of patience and dedication. At times I find myself feeling useless and a slacker, it is hard to see the immediate results of this job. Yesterday I went to testify in a court hearing and it felt so weird to get dressed in a suit. At first it felt good to feel like a professional again but I was anxious to get home put on my yoga pants and play on the floor with my baby. I am truly blessed to be able to stay home and spend all day with my son and have a part-time job which keeps me in the professional world. After ten years of full-time employment, I have realized that not only do stay at home mothers work hard their job never ends!

Cole is such a happy baby, he smiles all the time! Here are some recent pictures, he is almost four months old.

I really think that people don't understand how much work it is unless they've done it. I have to find this newspaper article that's floating around about what SAHM's do all day. It's quite good and to the point!

I love the picture of him staring at the sun! Hahaha! And you are right about the no immediate results. I struggle with that too, it can make the day feel useless when you really did do so much! But remember, even if all you do ALL day is just play with Cole, and sleep with him, then you are doing something...you are raising your son!!!
